Downing Fund Managers is pleased to announce the appointment of David Chambers as Business Development Director. In his new role, David will lead Downing’s fund sales in Scotland, Ireland, the Isle of Man and Malta.  

Judith MacKenzie, Partner and Head of Downing Fund Managers comments: 

“This is another key hire for Downing and we will benefit hugely from David’s extensive 30+ years of experience in the industry in some jurisdictions where we have not previously had much exposure.  In the last 12 months we have added significantly to our range of boutique investment funds and David will help bolster our relationships with adviser and discretionary networks, and also build our presence in the institutional, charity and Family Office spaces.” 

David has extensive experience in the industry, having started his career with M&G in 1988. He worked in various senior sales roles at Gartmore, Martin Currie and latterly Legg Mason, leaving the business when it was acquired by Franklin Templeton in January 2021.
