What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.

Downing recruits Russell Catley, the founder and ex-CEO of Atlantic House and Paul Adams (ex-European head of Cash Equity and Derivative Sales at Royal Bank of Canada)

Investment manager Downing continues its expansion with the appointment of Russell Catley, the founder and previous Chief Executive Officer of Atlantic House Group, formerly Catley Lakeman May. He joins Downing next month as Head of Retail in the Liquid Alternatives Team, alongside Tony Stenning and Huw Price.

Russell brings a wealth of experience in the alternatives space. He founded Catley Lakeman Securities in 2008, before launching Atlantic House Investments in 2013, which grew under his stewardship to be the market leader in defined returns fund strategies. His extensive 35 year career also includes senior roles in investment banking and asset management at Citigroup Global Capital Markets and AXA Investment Managers. He was also a non-executive director of three Downing Venture Capital Trusts for 12 years.

In addition to Russell’s appointment, Paul Adams has been appointed Head of Liquid Alternatives Sales. Paul has more than 20 years’ experience specialising in sales of complex products including structured products and derivatives. He has held a number of senior sales roles at Royal Bank of Canada, where he was latterly European head of Cash Equity and Derivative Sales. He was previously at Nomura focussing on distribution to UK Private Banks and before that Paul was Head of UK Retail Structured Products at Lehman Brothers.

Kostas Manolis, Partner and Head of Private Market Investments, Downing, said:

“We are delighted to have Russell and Paul join Downing. Russell’s experience of building and growing a successful fund business and Paul’s deep network in specialist distribution will be significant additions to our Liquid Alternatives team and are expected to make a major contribution to our continuing strategic growth as we expand our capabilities in response to client demand.”

Russell Catley, added:

“Downing has an impressive track record in developing products that meet investors’ needs and I look forward to working with Tony Stenning and the team, supporting further expansion of the business.”
