Downing LLP is delighted to announce the appointment of Henrik Dahlström as Investment Director in the Energy & Infrastructure division. Dahlström will be leading investments in the Nordic region, an area which he has specialised in for nearly two decades. This gives Henrik a unique perspective into the infrastructure and renewable energy space and an extensive network that will be utilised and optimised in his new role at Downing LLP.
Dahlström will be supporting Downing’s mandate to make strategic acquisitions of renewable energy and infrastructure assets, focusing on wind, hydroelectric energy, district heating, electricity distribution and other associated utilities. Expanding into the Nordic market provides a new area of competitive advantage for Downing.
Previous to his Downing appointment, Dahlström undertook a 17-year tenure at Macquarie as a Director with Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (MIRA) and was made Head of Nordic Region in 2015. Since 2004, Dahlström has been involved in all six of Macquarie’s diversified European infrastructure funds (Macquarie European Infrastructure Funds, MEIF). Dahlström has continuously expanded his expertise in all infrastructure and renewable energy sectors in the Nordic region with a range of experience of M&A, valuation, debt markets, capital structures, asset management and board level governance.
In his new role at Downing LLP, Dahlström looks forward to the challenges and opportunities of continuing to expand the profile and reach for the organisation, which is rapidly becoming one of the most diversified energy and infrastructure businesses in the market.
